What you need to know before moving to Europe

How will you settle in?

UK Tax

You’ll need to let HMRC know that you’re leaving the UK so you don’t pay more tax than you have to. Request a P85 Form from Revenue & Customs and use it to notify the authorities that you’re leaving so you’re taxed at the correct level both in the UK and your destination country.

Taking your best friend

Our pets are an important part of our household. Will you be taking them with you or rehoming them with family or friends? If you’re taking your pet they will need to be micro-chipped and immunised against rabies at least 21 days before you travel. Your moving and transportation company will give you advice on how best to physically move your pet.
