The NLV allows non-EU citizens to live in Spain without working, including no remote or online work. You can apply for this visa from the UK. It starts as a 1-year visa, and then you will switch to a residence card in Spain called the TIE (Tarjeta de Identificación de Extranjeros).

To apply for a visa in the UK, go to the Spanish Consulate that covers your home address through BLS. Submit your Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) application and provide your biometric data.
